Scripture Union Peninsular Malaysia embraces the following SU International Aims for our own national movement:

Working with the churches,Scripture Union aims to make God’s good news known to children, youths and their families; and encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through the Bible and prayer; so that they may come to personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, grow in Christian maturity, become committed church members and servants of a world in need.

One Fundamental Approach:
WE WORK WITH THE CHURCHES…

Scripture Union is not a church.
We are a para-church organization seeking to
complement and supplement the ministries of the Churches.
We endeavor to work with the Churches, not against them, nor apart from them.
We endeavor to work with the Churches, not for them, nor under them.

Two Specific Mandates:
WE DESIRE THAT PEOPLE MAY KNOW GOD
AND MAKE HIM KNOWN…

Scripture Union is concerned with Evangelism and Discipleship,
which are the very basics of all Christian ministry.
Our mandate is to make the Gospel known
through direct outreach, as well as training in Evangelism;
and to encourage people to know God in the course of Discipleship
especially through daily Bible reading and prayer.

Three People-Age Groups:
WE REACH OUT TO CHILDREN,
YOUTHS AND THEIR FAMILY…

Scripture Union’s ministries reach out in a wholistic manner
to Children, Youths and their Families.
We recognize that young people are people in transition.
Children transit to become Youths, and youths transit to become adults,
often in the context of the Family.

Scripture Union Peninsular Malaysia consists of four Ministry Departments.  Through synergic partnerships between volunteers and staff, we publish a variety of Bible Reading (QT) Notes, run a wide ranges of camps, conduct various training events, produce different kinds of resource materials; reaching students and adults in the schools and the churches with God's Word.

As per our Aims and Ethos, partnership with the churches is very important to Scripture Union Peninsular Malaysia.  We are trans-denonminational, and we are committed to partnership with churches, seeking ways to work positively with them, and encouraging people who come to the Christian faith through our ministries to take part in the life of a local church fellowship.

Some of the ways we work with the churches are:
